Watch: William Nylander scores another incredible goal at World Championship

With a 3-1 win over Switzerland on Thursday, Team Sweden is heading to the semifinal at the World Championship.

And the Maple Leafs’ William Nylander has been having one heck of a tournament.

The 21-year-old leads his team and is third overall in tournament scoring with six goals and 12 points in eight games. And he’s been in the highlight reel a number of times.

That brings us to the latest “wow” moment from Nylander, who scored this beauty today in the quarterfinal. Come for the outrageous pass up from Oliver Ekman-Larsson, and stay for Nylander holding off the defender with one arm, then switching hands to shoot the puck in the net.

This isn’t the first time this week that Nylander has been involved in a great play. This give-and-go with Nicklas Backstrom was a sight to behold, too.

It may be the off-season for the Maple Leafs, but here’s another reminder that the future is tremendously bright for the club.
