Beckett Sennecke must have had some extra motivation in December.
After being left off Canada's World Juniors Championship roster, Sennecke recorded nine goals and 22 points in eight games for the Oshawa Generals, earning him player of the month honours in the Ontario Hockey League.
The 2024 third-overall pick by the Anaheim Ducks was previously named Canadian Hockey League player of the week in November, and is up to 24 goals and 52 points on the year. He is now only three goals shy of his OHL career-best 27 set last season.
Sennecke, 18, currently ranks fifth in the OHL in goals, while his point total is tops on the Generals. The six-foot-four, 195-pound winger had multi-point efforts in seven of the eight games in December, highlighted by six points on Dec. 1 and five points on Dec. 4.
