OHL roundup: Kyrou nets winner in Otters' win over Attack

ERIE, Pa. — Christian Kyrou had the game-winner and an assist as the Erie Otters beat the Owen Sound Attack for their second straight win.

Cedrick Guindon grabbed two goals as the Attack (19-18-1-2) fell 5-3 to their Erie counterparts.

Brendan Hoffman netted the insurance goal for the Otters (16-19-1-2) on an empty-netter.

BATTALION 7, ICEDOGS 1

NORTH BAY, Ont. - Seven different scorers and a strong performance from netminder Dom DiVincentiis helped the North Bay Battalion beat the Niagara IceDogs 7-1.

The win is the Battalion's (23-15-3-3) fifth straight win.

It was the IceDogs (10-24-2-1) ninth straight loss.

PETES 4, 67's 1

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Peterborough outshot Ottawa every period on their way to a 4-1 win.

J.R. Avon had a goal, two assists and finished plus-two for the night for the Petes (15-24-2-0).

The loss snaps the 67's (20-19-1-2) three game winning streak.

SPITFIRES 4, SPIRIT 1

WINDSOR, Ont. - A strong first frame helped carry the Windsor Spitfires to a 4-1 win over the Saginaw Spirit.

Matthew Magio had a hat-trick in the win for the Spitfires (21-13-2-2), which snapped their two-game losing streak.

Matyas Sapovaliv bagged the consolation goal for the Spirit (16-24-1-0).
