Two Victoriaville Tigres players are being investigated for sexual-assault allegations, the QMJHL announced Tuesday.
In a statement, the QMJHL says the alleged incident occurred following Saturday’s President Cup championship game. The Tigres defeated the Val-d’Or Foreurs in Game 6 on Saturday to win the second league championship in team history.
“The Tigres and the QMJHL take these allegations very seriously and will provide their full cooperation with the police authorities while they conduct their investigation,” the QMJHL’s statement read.
