WHL Roundup: McClennon scores winner, Ice shut out Warriors

Connor McClennon scored what held up as the game-winner at 8:02 of the first period and the Winnipeg Ice shut out the Moose Jaw Warriors 4-0 in the Western Hockey League on Wednesday.

Matthew Savoie, Mikey Milne and Conor Geekie also scored for the Ice (41-9-3-2).

Daniel Hauser earned his WHL leading sixth shutout of the season making 24 saves.

Carl Tetachuk stopped 31 of 35 shot for the Warriors (33-21-3-2).

Winnipeg was 0 for 5 on the power play while Moose Jaw went 0 for 2.

BRANDON, Man. -- Blake Stevenson scored a pair of goal to lead Calgary (21-29-6-2), while Cael Zimmerman, Steel Quiring and Zac Funk added singles.

Tyson Zimmer and Nolan Ritchie scored for Brandon (28-22-3-2).

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. -- Karson King scored a pair of goals to lead Swift Current (21-30-5-2), while Kayden Sadhra-Kang, Carter Stebbings, Matthew Ward and Raphael Pelletier had singles.

Sloan Stanick, Evan Herman and Nolan Allan scored for the Raiders (23-29-3-1).

BLADES 5, OIL KINGS 3

EDMONTON -- Tristen Robins, with 30 goals on the season, had a hat trick to lead Saskatoon (33-20-3-1), while Brandon Lisowsky and Tanner Molendyk had singles.

Jalen Luypen scored twice for the Oil Kings (44-12-2-1), who also got a goal from Justin Sourdif.

PATS 6, HURRICANES 4

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. -- Connor Bedard connected twice for Regina (23-27-3-2), for his 39th and 40th goals of the season, while Logan Nijhoff, Neithan Salame, Layton Feist and Cole Dubinsky also scored.

Justin Hall led the Hurricanes (24-28-3-1) with a pair of goals, while Nolan Bentham and Yegor Klavdiev had singles.

AMERICANS 2, GIANTS 1

VANCOUVER -- Petre Moravec scored the winner at 1:37 of overtime, while Samuel Huo also scored for Tri-City (15-36-5-0). Alex Cotton had the lone goal for the Giants (22-29-3-0).
