OHL Roundup: Chromiak scores hat trick as Frontenacs dump Petes in matinee

KINGSTON, Ont. — Martin Chromiak scored a hat trick and added two assists to lead the Kingston Frontenacs to an 8-1 blowout win over the Peterborough Petes in the Ontario Hockey League Sunday afternoon.

Jordan Frasca added a pair for Kingston (37-19-3-0). Paul Ludwinski, Shane Wright and Paul Hughes had singles.

Brian Zanetti had the lone goal for the visiting Petes (24-31-5-0).

In other games, the Niagara IceDogs beat the Erie Otters 3-1, the Owen Sound Attack topped the Sarnia Sting 5-3 and the Flint Firebirds defeated the Kitchener Rangers 3-1.

The North Bay Battalion edged the Mississauga Steelheads 2-1, the Windsor Spitfires shaded the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 5-4 and the Barrie Colts trimmed the Ottawa 67s 2-1.

In the late games, the Hamilton Bulldogs blanked the Oshawa Generals 3-0 and the London Knights easily downed the Guelph Storm 4-0.
