OHL Roundup: Voit has hat trick as Sting hand Knights third straight loss

SARNIA, Ont. — Ty Voit scored a hat trick as the Sarnia Sting routed the London Knights 8-3 Wednesday in the OHL.

Theo Hill added two goals in the win for Sarnia (22-23-4).

OHL top goal scorer Luke Evangelista added to his total scoring in the first period for London (32-16-2).

The Midwest Division-leading Knights have dropped their last three games now.

Sting goalie Benjamin Gaudreau stopped 25 shots as he picked up the win.

ERIE, Pa. — Daniel D’Amato scored and assisted twice as Erie (22-25-3) rallied back to beat Niagara (15-32-3). The IceDogs opened scoring early a little more than a minute into the game on an Anthony Agostinelli goal, but the Otters responded quickly with two goals in the first and, essentially, put the game to rest.

SUDBURY, Ont. — Defenceman Jack Thompson scored a goal and collected an assist as Soo (29-17-7) downed Sudbury (19-30-5). Kocha Delic scored the Wolves’ two goals in the losing effort.
