QMJHL Roundup: Laaouan has goal, two assists to lead Islanders over Sagueneens

CHARLOTTETOWN — Noah Laaouan had a goal and two assists to lead the Charlottetown Islanders to a 6-4 win over the Chicoutimi Sagueneens in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Sunday.

Brett Budgell, Ben Boyd and Drew Elliott all added a goal and an assist for Charlottetown (31-9-5-0). Jeremie Biakabutuka and Patrick Guay had the others.

Marc-Antoine Seguin led Chicoutimi (20-21-1-4) with two goals. Jacob Newcombe and Michael Pellerin also scored.

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Sam Oliver led the Voltiguers (20-17-6-3) with two goals. Maveric Lamoureux, Jacob Dion and Alexis Morin had the others. Kale McCallum and Landon Miron scored for Val d’Or (19-22-4-0).

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Jacob Mathieu scored twice to lead the Oceanic (22-17-4-3). Maxime Coursol had the other goal while Gabriel Robert stopped 23 shots. Lorenzo Canonica replied for Shawinigan (31-12-1-3).

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. — Benjamin Corbeil had both goals for the Drakkar (15-22-4-4) while Olivier Adam stopped 31 shots for the shutout. Charles-Edward Gravel made 22 saves for the Armada (18-23-3-3).
