Canada's Alena Sharp is three solid rounds away from locking up her LPGA Tour card for 2025.
The Hamilton, Ont., golfer is tied for sixth at 6 under through two rounds of the final stage of LPGA Q-Series in Mobile, Ala.
The top 25 and ties in the 99-player field after five rounds get LPGA Tour cards for next season.
Sharp, 43, who shot a 2-under 69 on Friday, first joined the LPGA Tour in 2005. She missed out on the top 100 on partial status this year, sending her back to qualifying school.
Yu Liu of China is the runaway leader at 14 under, seven strokes ahead of her closest pursuers.
Maddie Szeryk of London, Ont., also is inside the top 25. She's tied for 23rd at 1 under after a 1-over 72 in the secound round.
Maude-Aimée Leblanc of Sherbrooke, Que., is one stroke back of the top 25 at even par.
Monet Chun of Richmond Hill, Ont., is at 2 over and tied for 48th, Josee Doyon of St-Georges, Que., is at 7 over and tied for 84th and Yeji Kwon of Port Coquitlam, B.C., is at 8 over and tied for 88th.
The top 65 and ties make the cut after the fourth round.
