Three more Canadians will join Brooke Henderson on the LPGA Tour in 2024.
Savannah Grewal of Mississauga, Ont., Maddie Szeryk of London, Ont., and Hamilton's Alena Sharp all will have status on the top women's golf tour after finishing in the top 45 in the third and final stage of the LPGA Q-Series in Mobile, Ala., on Wednesday.
Grewal, who turned pro just before the third stage, finished in a tie for 10th at 18 under in the six-round event. By finishing in the top 20, she gets into a better category for tournament entry than Szeryk and Sharp, who placed in a tie for 38th at 9 under.
The 22-year-old Grewal, who shot 4-under 68 in the final round, was the story of the tournament from a Canadian perspective. She opted out of returning to Clemson University after clearing the first two stages of Q-Series.
Grewal finished her fourth year at Clemson with a school-record 71.77 stroke average.
Szeryk, 27, gets her LPGA status back after finishing 102nd in the standings this year in her rookie campaign on tour. The top 100 kept cards.
Sharp, 42, is back on the LPGA after playing primarily on the Epson Tour feeder circuit last year. She rallied with 68 in the final round to get her card.
Robyn Choi of Australia won the Q-Series tournament at 29 under.
The 2024 LPGA season starts Jan. 18-21 with the Tournament of Champions in Orlando. Henderson is the defending champ.
The first full-field event is the LPGA Drive On Championship, Jan. 25-28 in Bradenton, Fla.
