We get it—your team’s uniform is sacred. We know that it’s about the look of the thing—the colours, the logo, the patches, the stripes—but it’s also about your connection to it, to the guys who wore it and the games they won in it. It’s about how you make sure you’ve always got your jersey on come game time, if only just to watch from the couch. It’s personal.
That’s why when we set out to create this ranking of the Greatest Uniforms in Sporots we wanted to eliminate bias as much as possible. So we called in a panel of experts (from a fashion editor to a logo archivist to uniform designers to sportswriters), asked them for their favourite unis, and then had them rank the resulting list.
