July 30

Cincinnati Reds receive: INF Davis Wendzel
Texas Rangers receive: Cash considerations
Quick Notes: Originally a second-round pick in 2019, Wendzel found his power in the triple-A level where he hit 47 home runs in just over 200 games during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. However, the 27-year-old has struggled to maintain that production at the big league level, slashing just .128/.163/.234 through 49 plate appearances with the Rangers in 2024. He was subsequently designated for assignment on July 29, prior to the trade.

New York Yankees receive: RHP Enyel De Los Santos, RHP Thomas Balboni Jr.
San Diego Padres receive: OF Brandon Lockridge
Quick Notes: The Yankees add another relieving arm with 28-year-old right-hander, De Los Santos. Through 40.1 innings with the Padres in 2024, he’s pitched a 4.46 ERA with a 1.29 WHIP and 48 strikeouts.

Boston Red Sox receive: RHP Luis Garcia
Los Angeles Angels receive: OF Matthew Lugo, 1B Niko Kavadas, RHP Ryan Zeferjahn and RHP Yeferson Vargas
Quick Notes: The Red Sox continue to bolster their bullpen with the addition of Garcia for four minor league players. Over 43.2 innings with the Angels this season, Garcia has a 3.71 ERA, four saves and 40 strikeouts.

Baltimore Orioles receive: OF Austin Slater, INF Livan Soto
Cincinnati Reds receive: Player to be named later or cash considerations
Quick Notes: With this move, the Reds look to clear up a roster spot for newcomer, Ty France, who they received via trade on July 29. Slater was traded earlier this month and has hit .111 in eight games with Cincinnati.

San Francisco Giants receive: OF Mark Canha
Detroit Tigers receive: RHP Eric Silva
Quick Notes: Mark Canha is heading back to California. After starting his big league career in Oakland, he will suit up across the pond for the Giants. In 93 games with Detroit in 2024, the 35-year-old has connected on .231 of his chances with seven home runs and 38 RBI. In return, the Tigers bring on Silva, a double-A reliever, as they look to recoup with youth after dealing a handful of veterans ahead of the deadline.

Arizona Diamondbacks receive: RHP Dylan Floro
Washington Nationals receive: INF Andres Chaparro
Quick Notes: After acquiring reliever A.J. Puk from the Marlins on July 25, the D-Backs add another weapon to their bullpen in Floro. The 33-year-old boasts a 2.06 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP through 52.1 innings this year. While the Nationals will receive a 25-year-old corner-infielder who has been torching triple-A, slashing .332/.403/.564. with the Reno Aces this season.

San Diego Padres receive: LHP Martin Perez
Pittsburgh Pirates receive: LHP Ronaldys Jimenez
Quick Notes: The Padres continue to bolster their pitching staff by adding a veteran presence in Perez. In his 13th MLB season, the 33-year-old has been roughed up as a Pirate, through 83 innings in 2024, he’s recorded a 5.20 ERA with a 1.65 WHIP.

Baltimore Orioles receive: LHP Gregory Soto
Philadelphia Phillies receive: RHP Seth Johnson, RHP Moises Chace
Quick Notes: Baltimore sends two minor league pitchers to Philadelphia in exchange for the former two-time All-Star Gregory Soto. Since being dealt by Detroit ahead of the 2023 season, the 29-year-old has combined for 4.42 ERA with 71 punch-outs through 67 innings during his time with the Phillies.

Tampa Bay Rays receive: OF Dylan Carlson
St. Louis Cardinals receive: RHP Shawn Armstrong.
Quick Notes: The former top Cardinals prospect will likely appreciate a change of scenery as he heads to Tampa in the middle of a rough season. Through 138 plate appearances in 2024, Carlson is posting a career low .198 batting average.

Toronto Blue Jays receive: LHP Ryan Yarbrough
Quick Notes: Kiermaier, who announced earlier this month that he intends to retire following this season, will look to go out with a bang as he makes his way to the heavy-hitting Los Angeles Dodgers. A known Superman in the outfield, the 34-year-old has won four gold gloves throughout his career, including one in 2023.

Detroit Tigers receive: INF Thayron Liranzo, INF Trey Sweeney,
Quick Notes: The Dodgers add one of the best pitchers to be moved ahead of the deadline in Jack Flaherty. The 28-year-old signed a one-year deal with Detroit ahead of the 2024 season and has been throwing some of his best baseball, recording a 2.95 ERA with a career best 0.96 WHIP through 18 starts this year.

Chicago White Sox receive: LHP Trey McGough
Quick Notes: Jimenez is the next to leave Chicago amid a dismal White Sox season. The left fielder/designated hitter should look to bolster an already-stacked Orioles club that continues to make a push for a deep playoff run in the fall. The 27-year-old is in the midst of a down year hitting .240, below his career .270 average.

Miami Marlins receive: INF Wilfredo Lara
Quick Notes: The 34-year-old Brazobán is in the middle of his third MLB season and has been posting career-highs with Miami in 2024. Through 30.2 innings, the right-hander has struck out 34 while recording a 2.93 ERA, a significant jump from a year prior where he put up 4.14 through 58.2 frames.

Pittsburgh Pirates receive: UTL Isiah Kiner-Falefa
Toronto Blue Jays receive: OF Charles McAdoo
Quick Notes: The Pirates continue to stockpile talent as they lock their sights on their first playoff appearance in nine years. Kiner-Falefa, who was in the first year of a two-year contract with the Blue Jays, is having a career-best season, seeing him hit .292 with seven home runs through 82 games. His previous career high for long shots was eight across 158 games in 2021.

Miami Marlins receive: RHP Jun-Seok Shim, INF Garret Forrester
Quick Notes: Just two games back of the final NL Wild Card spot, the Buckos are moving the needle at the deadline. Their latest addition of Bryan De La Cruz adds some much-needed pop to their lineup, with the outfielder blasting a team-leading 18 baseballs into the seats in 2024 and carrying an OPS of .706. Those numbers would have him trail just Bryan Reynolds in the Pirates’ outfield this season.

Tampa Bay Rays receive: RHP Paul Gervase
Quick Notes: The Mets continue their arms race before the deadline with the addition of Tampa Bay’s Tyler Zuber. The 29-year-old made his first start in nearly three years earlier this month and offers the Mets pitching depth at the major and minor league levels.

San Diego Padres receive: LHP Tanner Scott and RHP Bryan Hoein
Miami Marlins receive: LHP Robby Snelling, RHP Adam Mazur, INF Graham Pauley, INF Jay Beshears
Quick Notes: San Diego has nabbed arguably the best reliever on the market in Tanner Scott, but it cost them three of their current top-10 prospects in order to do so. Scott has secured 18 saves with the Marlins this season and has a 1.18 ERA across 45 innings.

Toronto Blue Jays receive: INF Jay Harry
Minnesota Twins receive: Trevor Richards
Quick Notes: The Twins have finally made a deal with the addition of Trevor Richards at the deadline. The 31-year-old brings versatility to Minnesota’s pitching staff for the remainder of 2024 and heads to the AL Central with a 2-1 record and over 50 innings of work this season. Richards struggled mightily in July, authoring a 13.06 ERA over just 10 innings of work, but will look to turn his fortunes around with the Twins.

New York Mets receive: RHP Paul Blackburn
Oakland Athletics receive: RHP Kade Morris
Quick Notes: Recent injuries to Christian Scott and Kodai Senga have pushed the Mets to add a depth starter in Paul Blackburn. The veteran will hope to carry the successes of his 4-2 campaign to Queens and be a reliable arm for the Mets to feed off of during a time that has seen their rotation diminish in health and the post-season race diminish in parity.

Seattle Mariners receive:  RHP J.T Chargois
Miami Marlins receive: RHP Will Schomberg
Quick Notes: The Marlins continued their fire sail on deadline day by shedding bullpen arm J.T Chargois. The 33-year-old has a 1.62 ERA and 1.32 WHIP and will be able to eat up innings in a Mariners bullpen looking to turn their struggles in one-run games around down the stretch.

Kansas City Royals receive: INF Paul DeJong
Chicago White Sox receive: RHP Jarold Rosado 
Quick Notes: The White Sox have pawned off one of their perennial trade chips in Paul DeJong. The infielder heads to a busy Royals squad vying for a playoff spot in October and is bringing his best self with him to help make that happen. His .430 slugging percentage and .705 OPS led the White Sox in 2024.

Texas Rangers receive: RHP Andrew Chafin
Detroit Tigers receive: RHP Joseph Montalvo, RHP Chase Lee
Quick Notes: The reigning World Series champs are loading up their bullpen as they look to make a push back into the post-season picture. Andrew Chafin heads to the Lone Star state having fostered 50 punchouts over 37 innings with the Tigers this season. He heads to Texas with a 3.16 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP.

Kansas City Royals receive: RHP Lucas Erceg
Oakland Athletics receive: RHP Mason Barnett, RHP Will Klein, OF Jared Dickey
Quick Notes: The Royals are adding a flamethrower to their bullpen for the long haul with the addition of Lucas Erceg. In his sophomore season with the A’s, Ercreg has totalled 12 holds, three saves and a 3.68 ERA across 36 innings. He is under team control until 2030 and averages 98.5 m.p.h on the heater.

Houston Astros receive: LHP Caleb Furguson
Quick Notes: The Astros continued to stock up on arms on Tuesday, bringing in southpaw Caleb Furguson from the Yanks’. Through 33 innings, Ferguson has logged 41 punchouts and 10 holds as a member of a top-10 bullpen in New York.

Cleveland Guardians receive: RHP Alex Cobb
San Francisco Giants receive: LHP Jacob Bresnahan, PTBNL
Quick Notes: The Guardians are rolling the dice on the currently-sidelined Alex Cobb. The 36-year-old has yet to play an MLB game for the Giants this season after suffering a hip injury towards the tail end of the 2023 campaign. Cobb has garnered seven or more wins on the bump in each of his last three years. He was placed on the 60-day IL in April.

San Francisco Giants receive: Cash Considerations
Quick Notes: Baumann has split time between three teams thus far in 2024, pitching to a 3-0 record and a 4.84 ERA. He was designated for assignment by the Giants earlier this week.

Arizona Diamondbacks receive: 1B / DH Josh Bell
Miami Marlins receive: Cash Considerations
Quick Notes: Less than 24 hours after their everyday first baseman Christian Walker suffers an oblique injury, Arizona find their immediate replacement in Josh Bell. Bell is slashing .239 / .305 / .394 this season and ranked second on the Marlins in homers with 14. He was put on Waivers this past Sunday.

Miami Marlins receive: INF Connor Norby, OF Kyle Stowers
Quick Notes: The AL East leaders have bolstered their rotation with the addition of Trevor Rogers. Just three years removed from his runner-up finish in the NL ROTY race, Rogers is still a dynamic arm despite his 2-9 record with the Marlins this season and can be a reliable fifth option for the O’s. Connor Norby was Baltimore’s seventh-best prospect according to Baseball America.

Quick Notes: Boston grab some much-needed help to their bullpen, one that owns a 6.39 ERA in July, with the addition of Lucas Sims. Sims, 30, has a 1-4 record on the bump this season with 40 punchouts and a sub-4 ERA. He is 1-3 in save opportunities in 2024 and has 12 holds.

Pittsburgh Pirates receive: LHP Josh Walker
Quick Notes: One of the early trades on deadline day sees two NL sides swap southpaws. Josh Walker has holds an ERA above 5 in 10 games this season and was DFA’d by the Mets last week. Nicolas Carreno is currently pitching in the Dominican Summer League.

New York Yankees receive: RHP Mark Leiter Jr.
Chicago Cubs receive: INF Ben Cowles, RHP Jack Neely
Quick Notes: Shopping for arms, the Yankees nabbed their first of the day with the addition of Mark Leiter Jr. Appearing in 39 games with the Cubbies this season, Leiter Jr. has authored a 2-4 record on the mound with 13 holds and a 4.21 ERA. He is the son of Mark Leiter (who also played for the Yankees) and the nephew of MLB great Al Leiter.

Quick Notes: The Braves brought back two members of their 2021 World Series-winning team. Soler, who was the 2021 World Series MVP, and Jackson join the Braves who are currently in the thick of the wild-card race in the National League.

Cincinnati Reds receive: OF Joey Wiemer, RHP Jakob Janis
Quick Notes: The NL Central-leading Brewers bolster their rotation by adding Montas to the mix. The right-hander has recorded a 5.01 ERA with a 1.44 WHIP and 78 strikeouts in 19 appearances in the 2024 season.

Toronto Blue Jays receive: RHP Jake Bloss, OF Joey Loperfido and INF Will Wagner
Houston Astros receive: LHP Yusei Kikuchi
Quick Notes: Kikuchi has a 4-9 record, 4.75 ERA and 130 strikeouts this season and netted the Blue Jays a haul of young players. Bloss, 23, has made three starts during his rookie year with a 6.90 ERA and 11 strikeouts. Loperfido, 25, is batting .236/.299/.358 with two home runs and 16 RBIs in 38 games.

Quick Notes: Beeks joins the Pirates’ staff after with a 4.74 ERA over 49.1 innings pitched out of the bullpen with the Rockies this season. Peralta is the younger brother of Milwaukee Brewers starter Freddy Peralta.

Los Angeles Dodgers receive: OF Amed Rosario
Tampa Bay Rays receive: RHP Michael Flynn
Quick Notes: Rosario, 28, hit .307 with 17 doubles, three triples, two home runs, 26 RBI, 22 runs scored and nine stolen bases over 76 games for the Rays this season. Meanwhile, Flynn, 27, went 2-1 with a 4.25 ERA (42.1IP, 20ER) and four saves, striking out 59 batters across 31 appearances (1 start) between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Toronto Blue Jays receive: OF RJ Schreck
Seattle Mariners receive: INF Justin Turner
Quick Notes: After signing with the Blue Jays in the off-season, Justin Turner is heading to the Pacific Northwest, where he will join a Mariners team in desperate need of offence. Turner has a .718 OPS and six homers through 90 games in 2024.

Quick Notes: In a three-team blockbuster, the White Sox deal away three of their main trade chips in Michael Kopech, Erick Fedde and Tommy Pham. The Cardinals send out standout utility player Tommy Edman in the deal and the Dodgers trade three young infielders to the White Sox to add two pieces to their major-league roster.

Chicago Cubs receive: 3B Isaac Paredes
Tampa Bay Rays receive: 3B Christopher Morel, RHP Hunter Bigge, RHP Ty Johnson
Quick Notes: The Rays firesale continues as they trade away first-time All-Star Isaac Paredes, who is putting up .247/.355/.438 batting splits this season with 16 home runs and 19 doubles.

Quick Notes: Garcia, 33, has battled injuries throughout the year but has excelled when on the field, posting a 2.70 ERA and 42 strikeouts through 30 innings pitched. The Blue Jays welcome two 22-year-old prospects with the speedy, switch-hitting Clase headlining the return.

Quick Notes: In the wake of Clayton Kershaw’s return to a deep Dodger lineup, Paxton, 35, was DFA’d by Los Angeles and will now become the sole left-hander in Boston’s rotation. Returning to his former team, the Canadian pitcher has posted an 8-2 record with a 4.43 ERA and 64 strikeouts over 89.1 innings on the year.

Quick Notes: The Mariners have been starved for offence all season and while Arozarena’s numbers are down in 2024, he still is an all-star calibre player who should help Seattle give its top-tier pitchers some run support. Arozarena is under club control until 2027.
