As if two American League MVP titles under his belt wasn't enough, Shohei Ohtani is doing his best to ensure his GOAT status applies to his time in the National League as well.
After two scoreless innings at the 2024 All-Star Game, the NL designated hitter stepped up to the plate, facing off against Red Sox starter Tanner Houck, and promptly blasted a three-run no-doubter to right field to open the scoring.
Though the American League soon tied it at the bottom of the third, it provided a splash of excitement for the Texas crowd that had mostly been treated to a pitcher's duel up to that point.
This was Ohtani's first home run at the Midsummer Classic in four appearances and the first by a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers since 1996.
Here are some of the best reactions to Ohtani's blast at Globe Life Field.
