Toronto Blue Jays ace had another impressive season and was recognized for it with a nod on the All-MLB second team.
Gausman joins Sonny Gray, Nathan Eovaldi, Jordan Montgomery and Kyle Bradish on the All-MLB second team. Gerrit Cole, Zac Gallen, Shohei Ohtani and Spencer Strider were named to the All-MLB first-team rotation.
The All-MLB honours started recognizing the top players at each position back in 2019. Fan votes account for 50 per cent with reporters, broadcasters, team officials and former players making up the rest of the votes.
In his second season with the Blue Jays, Gausman had a 12-9 record with a 3.16 ERA, 237 strikeouts in 185 innings. He finished third in AL Cy Young voting.
The 32-year-old signed a five-year $110 million contract with Toronto in 2022.
