Blue Jays acquire catcher Edward Duran to complete Bass trade with Marlins

Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Anthony Bass joins Blair and Barker to discuss how the Blue Jays' bullpen has changed since his first stint with the team back in 2020 and how Jordan Romano has solidified himself as one of the league's best closers.

The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired teenage catcher Edward Duran as the player to be named later in an earlier trade with the Miami Marlins.

The original deal had the Blue Jays acquire relievers Anthony Bass and Zach Pop, and a player to be named later, for infield prospect Jordan Groshans.

Duran, 18, signed with the Marlins as an international free agent in January of 2021. The Caracas, Venezuela native has played for Miami's Dominican Summer League squad ever since, hitting .254 with 15 doubles and 18 RBIs over 61 career games in the league.
