The 2023 MLB regular season got underway Thursday with all 30 teams slated to hit the mound on Opening Day.
The Toronto Blue Jays, MLB’s lone Canadian team, begin their 162-game schedule with 10 straight road contests and a three-game series with the St. Louis Cardinals.
The team has been swept in the wild-card round in two of the past three seasons yet with little roster turnover and a high-upside offence, the Blue Jays are favoured to qualify for the post-season and are among the top eight teams projected to contend for the World Series later this year.
