Toronto Blue Jays reliever Chad Green breezed through an inning of rehab work for the triple-A Buffalo Bisons on Saturday.
Green threw 14 pitches, 10 for strikes, and allowed one hit (a ground-rule double) in the sixth inning of a 7-0 loss to the visiting St. Paul Saints.
Green, who was making his third rehab appearance, has been on the injured list since April 20 with a right teres major strain. He began the season with a 2.35 ERA and two saves through seven appearances for Toronto before being shut down with the injury.
Green hasn't allowed a run in any of his three one-inning rehab appearances.
It wasn't as good a night for Bisons starter Aaron Sanchez, who was signed to a minor-league contract by Toronto earlier this month.
Sanchez, a key member of the Blue Jays' rotation during the 2015 and '16 playoff runs, allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits and two walks, while striking out two against the Minnesota Twins' affiliate.
Sanchez has a 13.50 ERA in three starts this year for Buffalo.
Blue Jays right-hander Yariel Rodriguez, who was placed on the 15-day injured list with thoracic spine inflammation on April 30, is scheduled to pitch again on Sunday in Buffalo against the Saints. He is expected to throw 30-35 pitches.
