The Toronto Blue Jays are set in the dugout for 2025.
On Monday afternoon, the Blue Jays announced the coaching appointments of new assistant hitting coach Lou Iannotti, bullpen coach Graham Johnson and assistant pitching coach Sam Greene.
Sportsnet's Shi Davidi reported the hirings of Iannotti and Johnson and that the Blue Jays were interviewing for an assistant pitching coach earlier this month.
Greene, 27, served as the Blue Jays senior pitching research specialist for the Blue Jays in 2024. He has been a member of the organization since 2021. Formerly a pitcher at McGill University, Greene graduated with a master's degree in Management in Analytics.
Johnson replaces Jeff Ware as Toronto's bullpen coach, joining the Blue Jays after serving the last three seasons with the New York Yankees' triple-A affiliate.
Ionnatti, meanwhile, comes from the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, where he was a hitting co-ordinator. He had spent the previous seven years with the Dodgers, holding various coaching and co-ordinator roles with the reigning World Seris champions.
The hirings complete the Blue Jays' major-league coaching staff for 2025, which will be as follows:
John Schneider, Manager
Don Mattingly, Bench Coach
DeMarlo Hale, Associate Manager
Pete Walker, Pitching Coach
David Popkins, Hitting Coach
Mark Budzinski, First Base Coach
Carlos Febles, Third Base Coach
Graham Johnson, Bullpen Coach
Sam Greene, Assistant Pitching Coach
Lou Iannotti, Assistant Hitting Coach
Hunter Mense, Assistant Hitting Coach
John Lannan, Major League Mental Performance Coach
