Toronto Blue Jays slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was named the American League player of the week on Monday.
Guerrero Jr. batted .500 (13-for-26) with four homers, 17 RBIs, five doubles and six runs scored in six games last week.
He had a six-game streak with at least two RBIs that was the longest in Blue Jays history.
It's the fifth time Guerrero Jr. has been selected for player of the week.
Guerrero Jr. was not in the starting lineup Monday after he was hit by a fastball from pitcher Gerrit Cole during the third inning of Sunday's 8-1 loss to the New York Yankees.
Cincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India was named the National League player of the week. India batted .538 (14-for-26) with five RBIs, 10 doubles, eight runs scored and two stolen bases across seven games.
