After three days without playing a game, Toronto Blue Jays slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will return from injury on Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates in spring-training action in Dunedin, Fla.
Guerrero Jr. will be the designated hitter as the club slowly works him back.
Guerrero Jr. sustained a left knee contusion on an impressive sliding catch in foul territory on Saturday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
That injury came after he was sidelined a few days with a finger issue.
Guerrero is batting .368 with one homer and four RBIs in 19 at-bats this spring.
