The Toronto Blue Jays met as a team following Tuesday's 10-1 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies, Sportsnet's Arden Zwelling reports.
According to Zwelling, the meeting was described as productive.
The Blues Jays currently sit last in the AL East with a 16-20 record and .444 winning percentage. Their loss on Tuesday marked the team's second consecutive defeat and their seventh over the last 10 games.
In order to match last season's 89 wins, which saw them finish third in the AL East and move on to a wild-card series with the Minnesota Twins, the Blue Jays will need to go 73-53 over the remainder of the 2024 season — a .579 winning percentage.
So, the team recognizes it needs to turn things around quickly. And one necessary fix for the Blue Jays will be improving their offence, as they currently rank fourth worst in MLB overall for runs scored with 129.
