Toronto Blue Jays reliever Jordan Romano was removed from Friday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles after sustaining an injury to his right middle finger, per Sportsnet’s Ben Nicholson-Smith.
He’ll be evaluated by the club’s medical staff.
Romano, a 27-year-old product of Markham, Ont., has compiled a 2-1 record with a sterling 0.64 ERA and 20 strikeouts across 14 innings this season.
