The Toronto Blue Jays announced Wednesday that pitcher Tayler Saucedo has been claimed off outright waivers by the New York Mets and pitched Casey Lawrence has cleared outright waivers and been assigned to triple-A Buffalo.
Saucedo had a 13.50 ERA in four games played for the Blue Jays in 2022, pitching 2.2 innings while allowing six hits, four runs and three home runs.
Lawrence had an 0-1 record for the Blue Jays last season, recording a 7.50 ERA in six games and pitching 18 innings while allowing 23 hits, 15 runs and five home runs.
