Blue Jays make multiple positional changes vs. Orioles

The Toronto Blue Jays are making changes to the lineup in hopes of grabbing their first win of the 2025 season on their first City Connect night of the year.

After losing 12-2 to the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday, which snapped a five-game Opening Day winning streak, the Blue Jays are bringing Ernie Clement out of the lineup in exchange for Nathan Lukes for Friday's game.

Clement went 0-for-3 in his season debut.

With that, Will Wagner will move from DH to third base, George Springer will go from centre field to right and Nathan Lukes will make his season debut in centre. Anthony Santander, who went 0-for-4 in his Blue Jays debut, will become the DH.

The batting order stays the same, with Lukes just sliding into the eight hole for Clement.

Kevin Gausman makes his season debut on the mound for the Blue Jays. In 2024, he posted 14-11 record with a 3.83 ERA, 162 strikeouts across 181 innings pitched.

Friday's broadcast starts at 7:07 p.m. ET on Apple TV+. You can listen to the game on Sportsnet 590 The Fan.
