After missing Game 1, Toronto Blue Jays ace Alek Manoah will start Game 2 of the club's doubleheader against the Tampa Bay Rays, manager John Schneider confirmed.

"He's feeling fine," said Schneider. "I expect a normal outing for him. Feeling a lot better so just ride it out like we always do."

Manoah originally was scheduled to start Game 1, but the Blue Jays changed their pitching plans after the All-Star right-hander dealt with a stomach bug overnight.

Instead, Julian Merryweather opened the eventual 4-2 Blue Jays loss, allowing one run in one inning.

Mitch White, who was recalled as the 29th man for the doubleheader earlier Tuesday, then came in to pitch the next six innings with three runs earned.

The Rays are likely going with triple-A callup Yonny Chirinos in Game 2. Watch it at 7:07 p.m. ET on Sportsnet and SN NOW.
