Blue Jays place Springer on paternity list, recall Lukes from triple-A Buffalo

The Toronto Blue Jays placed outfielder George Springer on the paternity list Saturday.

Outfielder Nathan Lukes was recalled from triple-A Buffalo and will be active for the team's matinee against the Detroit Tigers.

Lukes has played in 23 games with the Blue Jays this season with three hits and one RBI in 19 at-bats.

Starting pitcher Kevin Gausman takes the mound for the Blue Jays, who are looking to extend their four-game road winning streak.
