Blue Jays recall Jonathan Davis from triple-A, will be active vs. Mariners

The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled outfielder Jonathan Davis from triple-A Buffalo, the team announced Tuesday.

Davis will be active for Tuesday’s game against the Seattle Mariners, with first pitch scheduled for 7:07 p.m. ET on Sportsnet and SN Now.

The 29-year-old has played in 43 games for Toronto so far this season while slashing .147/.289/.495. He also has one home run and four RBI during this campaign.

The move comes after Toronto’s trade earlier Tuesday that sent Joe Panik and a prospect to the Miami Marlins in exchange for right-hander Adam Cimber and outfielder Corey Dickerson.
