Blue Jays recall OF Luplow, option Lukes to triple-A Buffalo

The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled outfielder Jordan Luplow from triple-A Buffalo.

The 29-year-old will be available as the Jays take on then Los Angeles Angels on Friday night. Watch the game on Sportsnet and SN NOW at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Toronto had claimed Luplow off waivers from the Atlanta Braves last Wednesday.

The native of Visalia, Calif. played 83 games with the Arizona Diamondbacks last season, batting .176 and hitting 11 homers.

The Blue Jays also announced that outfielder Nathan Lukes was optioned to triple-A Buffalo.
