The Toronto Blue Jays are making some roster adjustments ahead of their series against the Atlanta Braves.
The team announced that they have recalled right-hander Luis Frías from triple-A and that he will be available Friday against the Braves.
The 26-year-old has been playing for triple-A Buffalo since the Blue Jays claimed him off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks on Aug. 10. Frias has pitched 8.1 innings in that time, allowing zero earned runs, with 11 strikeouts and four walks.
In a corresponding move, the Blue Jays optioned Brandon Eisert to Buffalo. The left-hander last appeared for the Blue Jays on July 29 against the Orioles, pitching 2.2 innings, with three earned runs, one walk and zero strikeouts.
You can watch the Blue Jays in their series opener against the Braves at 7:20 p.m. ET / 4:20 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
