A bad four days in Boston for the Toronto Blue Jays got worse on Thursday after right-handed reliever Zach Pop exited their game against the Red Sox with right hamstring discomfort.
Pop appeared to suffer the injury during the bottom of the eighth inning and needed help to get off the field.
The Canadian right-hander pitched two-thirds of the eighth inning before exiting, giving up two hits and three earned runs.
Pop has had his struggles recently, registering a 4.85 ERA over 13 innings pitched for the Blue Jays this season.
