Toronto Blue Jays infielder Santiago Espinal was removed from Saturday's game against the Baltimore Orioles with right hamstring discomfort.
Espinal was limping after stealing second base in the seventh inning. He was replaced by Whit Merrifield.
The pinch runner would make his mark as Merrifield would steal third and then score after an infield hit by George Springer.
Espinal is slashing .205/.266/.274 with one home run and seven RBIs this season.
