The Toronto Blue Jays have selected the contract of left-handed pitcher Tayler Saucedo, who will be active for Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox.

In corresponding moves, the Blue Jays optioned right-hander Jeremy Beasley to triple-A Buffalo and transferred reliever A.J. Cole to the 60-day injured list.

Saucedo is 2-1 with a 2.20 ERA and 0.857 WHIP in 10 appearances in triple-A this season. The 27-year-old is a 21st-round pick of the Blue Jays from 2015.

Beasley has pitched in five games for Toronto in 2021, posting a 6.75 ERA over 6.2 innings pitched. Cole, meanwhile, was placed on the 10-day injured list on June 2 due to neck soreness after putting up a 1.13 ERA with seven strikeouts in eight innings for the Blue Jays.
