The Toronto Blue Jays announced a pair of minor-league signings on Tuesday night.
The team announced that it has signed infielder Michael Stefanic and right-handed pitcher Kevin Gowdy to MiLB deals with an invite to spring training.
Stefanic, 28, has spent his entire career in the Los Angeles Angels organization and made his MLB debut in 2022. Since then, he has appeared in 90 games at the big-league level, logging innings defensively at second and third base.
The right-handed hitter slashed .218/.301/.255 over 40 games and 110 at-bats in 2024, collecting four doubles. In 40 triple-A games, he fared much better, posting a .966 OPS with 15 extra-base hits.
Gowdy, meanwhile, has yet to reach the majors but pitched in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization the last two seasons.
The 27-year-old served as a reliever for triple-A Oklahoma City in 2024, pitching 51.1 innings. He finished the year with a 4.38 ERA, 45 strikeouts and four saves.
