The Toronto Blue Jays are using a rainout to make an adjustment to their pitching rotation.
Yusei Kikuchi will start Wednesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles following Tuesday's rainout.
Chris Bassitt was slated to start Tuesday, but his spot will now be pushed back.
Bassitt has struggled against left-handers this season, and the first-place Orioles have many options from that side of the plate.
Blue Jays manager John Schneider said the team looked "at what they've done against this team and the team we're facing in Tampa, how they're aligned righty/lefty."
"Chris being pretty flexible ... was part of the thinking, too."
Kikuchi is holding left-handers to a .188 average, while lefties are batting .324 versus Bassitt.
Right-hander Kyle Bradish is Baltimore's scheduled starter.
