The Toronto Blue Jays have traded outfielder Derek Fisher to the Milwaukee Brewers after designating him for assignment last week.

In exchange, the Brewers are sending cash considerations and a player to be named later back to the Blue Jays.

Fisher, 27, hit .226 with seven RBIs in 16 games with the Blue Jays last season. He was originally acquired at the 2019 trade deadline from the Houston Astros for right-handers Aaron Sanchez and Joe Biagini.

The Blue Jays designated Fisher for assignment after signing right-handed reliever David Phelps on Feb. 11.
