The Toronto Blue Jays are now worth $2.15 billion, according to the latest franchise valuations list by Forbes magazine.
Forbes released its annual MLB rankings Wednesday on the eve of opening-day action for the 2025 season.
The Blue Jays, ranked 14th among the 30 MLB teams, saw a year-over-year increase in value of two per cent and is just under the league average of $2.6 billion.
The New York Yankees became the first MLB team to crack the $8-billion mark at an estimated $8.2 billion.
The Yankees have topped the Forbes list every year since the publication began the rankings in 1998.

The reigning World Series-champion Los Angeles Dodgers jumped in value by 25 per cent and remain in second place at $6.8 billion.
The Athletics, who now call Sacramento home until their move to Las Vegas, saw the largest spike, increasing in value by 50 per cent to $1.8 billion.
Last on the list are the Miami Marlins, valued at $1.05 billion, despite a five per cent year-over-year increase.
