Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr. day-to-day with knee injury, out vs. Yankees

Toronto Blue Jays slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is not in the lineup Wednesday against the New York Yankees but an MRI on right his knee provided some good news. He will be considered day-to-day for now with right knee discomfort and could return to the field this week.

Manager John Schneider said Guerrero had no structural damage in his knee.

      Guerrero was lifted from Tuesday's loss to start the ninth after appearing to injure himself fielding a ball near first base.

      Guerrero is hitting .312/.385/.516 with seven home runs this season.
