Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will return to the lineup and play first base for the second game of a series against the Houston Astros on Tuesday night.
Guerrero was hit by a fastball from pitcher Gerrit Cole during the third inning of Sunday's 8-1 loss to the New York Yankees. X-rays after the game were negative, according to Sportsnet's Shi Davidi.
Guerrero was a late scratch from Monday's series opener.
The 25-year-old Guerrero is batting .297 with 13 home runs and 50 RBIs this season.
