Catcher Danny Jansen will be back in the starting lineup when the Toronto Blue Jays host the Chicago Cubs on Sunday.
Jansen sustained a hand injury Thursday against the Cleveland Guardians when he was hit by a pitch. He missed the first two games of the series against the Cubs.
Meanwhile, the team announced that third baseman Matt Chapman was scratched with right middle finger inflammation shortly before the game.
Santiago Espinal will slide over to play third with Chapman out, and Paul DeJong will slot into the lineup and play shortstop.
The 28-year-old Jansen has 15 home runs and 49 RBI this season along with a .218/.289/.456 slash line.
Pitcher Hyun Jin Ryu gets the start on the mound for the Blue Jays, who are aiming to avoid a three-game series sweep at the hands of the Cubs.
