Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher and 2023 MLB All-Star Clayton Kershaw was placed on the 15-day injured list with left shoulder soreness, the team announced Monday.
The 35-year-old lefty was scheduled to start Monday night against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He last pitched on June 27 against the Colorado Rockies, throwing six scoreless innings of one-hit ball.
Kershaw was named to his 10th all-star team on Sunday night. He has thrown 95.1 innings this season with a 10-4 record, 2.55 ERA and 105 strikeouts.
In a pair of corresponding moves, the Dodgers recalled pitchers Michael Grove and Gavin Stone and option reliever Victor Gonzalez.
Grove will start the opener of a four-game series against the Pirates. The right-hander is 0-2 with a 7.54 ERA.
