Cavan Biggio is joining the San Francisco Giants organization after agreeing to a minor-league contract.

The former Toronto Blue Jays infielder will report to the Giants Triple-A affiliate in Sacramento.

Biggio was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in June after he was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays. The Dodgers would release Biggio in order to make room in the lineup for Freddie Freeman.

In 74 games this season, the left-handed-hitting utility player is hitting .197/.316/.306 with five home runs and 70 strikeouts.
