Blake Snell is staying put in the NL West.
The Los Angeles Dodgers signed the two-time Cy Young Award-winning pitcher to a massive five-year, $182 million contract Tuesday night, according to reports.
Snell posted a 3.12 ERA in 104 innings last season and has the reigning World Series champions looking like early favourites to repeat.
The southpaw will be reunited with Tyler Glasnow, his teammate in Tampa Bay, and joins the likes of Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Tony Gonsolin in one of the deepest rotations in the league.
Fans and MLB players were left in disbelief over the move. Here are some of the best social media reactions to the big-ticket signing.
