At least two Seattle Mariners players do not appear to be impressed with the team store's decision to load up on Toronto Blue Jays merchandise ahead of this weekend's series between the two teams in Seattle.
The Twitter account @MarinerMuse tweeted a picture of the Mariners store with a display of Blue Jays merchandise on Monday, and the tweet gained traction.
On Tuesday, Mariners pitcher Paul Sewald and infielder J.P. Crawford reacted on Twitter.
The store's decision comes in advance of a series that traditionally attracts thousands of fans from Western Canada, making the games feel like Toronto home contests.
Far fewer tickets are available on Ticketmaster for the games Friday through Saturday than remain for the Mariners' home game on Wednesday against the Minnesota Twins.
On the secondary market, tickets start at $38 for Saturday's game, $28 more than Wednesday's game.
