Rosario is the latest addition by the Nationals after they acquired first baseman Nathaniel Lowe in a trade with Texas and signed Josh Bell as a free agent.

Contract: One year, $3.5 million (second-year mutual option for $10 million, including $1.5 million buyout)
Details: The journeyman starter Perez joins his fourth team in three years after splitting last season between the Pittsburgh Pirates and San Diego Padres. Across 26 starts, the reliable 33-year-old posted a 5-6 record with a 4.53 ERA and 107 strikeouts across 135 innings.

Details: The future Hall of Famer, who is about to turn 42, returns for a 20th season with the Giants. He had a bumpy 2024 after getting a late start to the season due to right shoulder inflammation and a neck injury that later kept him off the mound for two months. In total, Verlander threw 90.1 innings for the Houston Astros, posting a 5.48 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 2024.

Details: The South Korean All-Star second baseman becomes the latest addition by the World Series champions in their offseason spending spree. Kim, who turns 26 on Jan. 27, has played eight seasons in South Korea, the last six with the Seoul-based Kiwoom Heroes. He set career highs with a .326 average, 11 homers and 75 RBIs while stealing 30 bases.

Details: The Diamondbacks add to their dynamic rotation by signing Burnes to the richest contract in franchise history. Burnes spent the 2024 season with the Baltimore Orioles, pitching to a 2.92 ERA and punching out 181 hitters over 194.1 innings. He finished fifth in AL Cy Young voting for his efforts and was named to his fourth All-Star Game in his debut season with the Orioles.

Details: After eight seasons, three Gold Gloves and 146 homers with the Diamondbacks, Walker will take over at first base for the Astros. The 33-year-old will join a new-look Houston squad, joining Isaac Paredes as infield additions sure to wear out the Crawford Boxes for years to come.

Details: The left-handed starter Sandoval will look to return from Tommy John surgery with the Red Sox, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan. His rehabilitation timeline has him on track to return in the second half of the 2025 season. The 28-year-old posted a 5.08 ERA and 1.51 WHIP with 81 strikeouts and 35 walks over 79.2 innings in 2024 with the Los Angeles Angels.

Details: The journeyman infielder Urshela is onto his sixth team in five seasons with the Athletics. In 128 games split between the Detroit Tigers and Atlanta Braves last year, Urshela hit .250 with nine home runs and 52 RBIs while continuing to provide solid defence at the hot corner.

Details: Milner joins the Rangers on a one-year deal after four seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers. In 2024, the 31-year-old Milner recorded a 4.73 ERA over 64.2 innings pitched.
Max Kepler, OF
Team: Philadelphia Phillies
Contract: One year, $10 million
Details: Kepler heads to Philadelphia after 10 years with the Minnesota Twins, looking to resurrect what was once a very promising career. However, injuries have affected Kepler's availability in recent years, including a 105-game 2024 season in which the Berlin native managed just eight home runs and 42 RBIs.

Details: MLB.com's Steve Gilbert reported that Pache has agreed to a non-roster invite deal with the Diamondbacks to compete for a spot on the team in 2025. A journeyman, Pache has played for five teams over the course of his five seasons in the big leagues, including three (Philadelphia Phillies, Baltimore Orioles, and Miami Marlins) in 2024. The six-foot-two outfielder posted a .200/.273/.279 slash line with one home run and 16 RBIs between the three teams.
Michael Soroka, RHP
Team: Washington Nationals
Contract: One year, $9 million
Details: The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported that the Calgary native is on the move to Washington after one year in Chicago. Soroka spent four seasons with the Atlanta Braves before getting dealt to the White Sox in 2024. His time with Atlanta included a second-place NL Rookie of the Year finish and an All-Star nod, but it also involved two missed seasons due to Achilles tendon tears. Since returning, he owns a 5.22 ERA in 112 innings. Soroka was used as both a starter and reliever in Chicago, his most effective stints coming out of the bullpen. He carried a 2.75 ERA and .189 batting average against in relief.

Details: The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported that Canning will join the Mets, pending a physical, and has the opportunity to earn another $1 million in bonuses. Canning, 28, had a 5.19 ERA over 171.2 innings pitched for the Los Angeles Angels last season. He was acquired by the Atlanta Braves from the Angels as part of the Jorge Soler trade, but then was non-tendered by Atlanta.
Bryse Wilson, RHP
Team: Chicago White Sox
Contract: One year, $1.05 million
Details: The 26-year-old Wilson finds his next landing spot after spending his last two seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers. Per Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic, the righty will compete for a spot in the White Sox rotation and his deal includes a possible $250,000 in performance bonuses. Wilson has a career 20-21 record over seven seasons, along with a 4.61 ERA through 413.2 innings pitched.

Details: Hendricks had the worst season of his 11-year career in his final campaign with the Cubs, pitching to a 4-12 record with a 5.92 ERA while striking out 87 over 130.2 innings pitched.
