Nationals claim Blue Jays outfielder Josh Palacios off waivers

The Washington Nationals claimed Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Josh Palacios off waivers Friday afternoon.

Palacios had been designated for assignment by the Blue Jays back on April 11.

The 26-year-old made his debut for the Blue Jays on April 9, 2021. Palacios notched four runs, four RBI and batted for .200 in 13 games last season.

The Brooklyn native recorded five runs, two homers, four RBIs and batted for .238 in six games with AAA Buffalo this season.
