San Diego Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. answered any questions on if he is ready to make his MLB return on Thursday night, crushing three home runs with eight RBIs for the El Paso Chihuahuas in a triple-A game against the Albuquerque Isotopes.
Tatis Jr. is eligible to return from his 80-game suspension on Thursday when the Padres travel to Arizona to take on the Diamondbacks. He was suspended for testing positive for a banned substance.
His first home run of the game was a mammoth 451-foot home run in the second inning.
Without Tatis Jr. in the lineup, the Padres have started 2022-23 with a 7-7 record. The addition of the 24-year-old to the batting order will make the Padres a danger for any opposing pitcher, as he will join a stacked lineup that includes Xander Bogaerts and Juan Soto.
