Kiwoom Heroes power-hitting shortstop Kim Ha-seong is set to be posted by the KBO club on Wednesday, according to Jeeho Yoo of Korea's Yonhap News Agency.

Once the KBO club asks the league to inform the MLB, it will open a 30-day negotiating window to bring the 25-year-old to North America.

Should Ha-seong sign for $25 million or less, the Heroes will be entitled to 20 per cent of the contract as a transfer fee, per Yoo. But if the deal is more than that, but less than $50 million, the fee will be 20 per cent on the first $25 million and 17.5 per cent on the amount that exceeds it.

According to MLB Network's Jon Morosi, the Toronto Blue Jays are among the teams that evaluated the shortstop closely prior to the posting process.

Ha-seong finished tied for ninth among KBO hitters with 30 home runs in 2020 while also slashing .306/.389/.491
