After striking a deal for Mitch Haniger and Anthony Desclafani earlier Friday, the Seattle Mariners acquired outfielder Luke Raley in a separate trade with the Tampa Bay Rays for infielder Jose Caballero, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.
Raley, 29, spent time across all three outfield spots and first base for Tampa Bay in 2023 while posting a .249/.333/.490 slash line with 19 home runs and 14 stolen bases.
The left-handed hitter will now join a new-look Mariners outfield that includes Haniger and Julio Rodriguez.
Originally drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2016, Raley debuted with the NL club in 2021 before being dealt to the Rays before the 2022 season.
Caballero, meanwhile, made his MLB debut in 2023, slashing .221/.343/.320 with four home runs and 26 stolen bases over 104 games with Seattle.
The 27-year-old primarily spent his time at the two middle infield spot, but also appeared at third base and in left field.
