Veteran outfielder Michael Brantley appears to be returning to the Houston Astros after reportedly signing a one-year, $12 million contract, according to ESPN's Jesse Rogers.
The deal includes $4 million in incentives, Rogers said.
Brantley, 35, has spent the past four seasons with Houston. He became a free agent after winning the World Series this fall while hitting .288/.370/.416 with five home runs and 26 RBI during the regular season.
The five-time all-star has 1,641 hits and 127 home runs with a career .298 batting average over 14 years in the majors with the Cleveland Guardians and Astros.
