The Baltimore Orioles have added a right-handed bench bat.
Outfielder Ramón Laureano and the Orioles are in agreement on a one-year, $4-million contract, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported on Tuesday.
According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the deal includes a $6.5-million team option for 2026.
Laureano, 30, posted a .259/.311/.437 slash line along with 11 home runs and 33 RBIs in 98 games split between the Cleveland Guardians and Atlanta Braves last season.
The seven-year major league veteran will likely be used as a pinch hitter or platoon bat alongside the Orioles' many left-handed hitting outfielders — Colton Cowser, Cedric Mullins and Heston Kjerstad.
